Most of us think nothing at all about a new pair of shoes. But the majority of children we support at AYSF come from extremely low income families. These hardworking families are desperately trying to make ends meet and simply aren’t able to afford luxuries like sports equipment and training. That where we come in ... and where we need your help!
We are Passionate about Soccer.
We are committed to leveraging soccer as a transformational catalyst to help the disadvantaged children and teenagers within our greater community. Since forming the Kalonji Soccer Academy (KSA) in 2012, we have acted upon the profound need for outreach to underprivileged boys and girls.
To do even more, we have formed the non-profit, charitable Kalonji Family Foundation.
Born out of the desire to create awareness of the need and to build on success we have had with so many kids, we are actively seeking the support and sponsorship of people, companies and organizations from near and far.
When a pair of new cleats mean the world to a deserving child.
You can only imagine the sheer joy of a new pair of cleats. Many of the children we support at KFF/KSA come from working families that are desperately trying to make ends meet but simply can't afford new shoes, let alone uniforms, fees for lessons, or even take time off work to drive them to and from practice.
That's where we come in ... and where we need your help!
We are looking for people who can reach into their hearts and their resources to help us fund more kids. The support you give isn't a handout, it is a lifeline that will truly transform the lives of some deserving young people. These kids are doing their part to pull themselves up by showing up every day to jump in our van and get off the streets to be a part of this soccer program. They doing better in school and staying away from the drugs, prostitution and crime that plagues their marginalized neighborhoods.
TYPE OF DONATIONS NEEDED
SOCCER CLEATS & GEAR
While soccer isn't as expensive of a sport as golf or hockey, cleats, pads, socks and balls can still be out of reach for kids of limited means. We gladly accept the donation of new or gently used soccer cleats and gear for both boys and girls of all ages.
GENTLY USED CLOTHING
Many of the kids and teens supported by our foundation come from disadvantaged families who unfortunately too often don't have the resources to buy their children the clothes and shoes they need. We greatly appreciate the donations of clean, gently used clothes and shoes for both boys and girls of all age groups.
MONETARY DONATION
Thank you for your interest in donating to KSA. Every donation we receive, whether it is a one-time donation, a monthly commitment to donate, or a corporate donation goes a long way in impacting our players. Every dollar donated is a part of shaping a child, not just for soccer, but for life.
FOOD & BEVERAGES
After a long afternoon of playing soccer, we feed the kids regardless of their ability to pay for the food. We are seeking the donation of snacks and beverages as well as looking for partner restaurants who could donate or reduce the prices of meals.
TRANSPORTATION
If you have or know of someone who would like to donate a large van in good running condition, we are great need of a larger vehicle to help transport the kids to and from practice. Many of the kids in our program rely on us for transportation and we make multiple trips each day to transport as many kids as possible.
BECOME A SPONSOR
Many of our players are scholarship players. Sponsoring a player, a team or event offers them opportunities to attend and participate in high profile games and tournaments. There are many ways to be a sponsor, whether through sponsoring a team tournament, sponsoring team travel needs, sponsoring team uniforms, or other opportunities
